I generally prefer to stay in the shadows and quietly get things done. But since you've asked...
I enjoy learning and teaching myself about how things work, and I take great pleasure in turning around and using my knowledge to teach others. I love it when people ask me questions, even if I have to search for the answers.
I'm originally from Washington, D.C., by way of Connecticut, Maryland, and Massachusetts, and now I live in lovely San Diego, California, with my wife and our twins. After a soul-searching career change, I've left the world of technical theatre project managment for a new path in Systems Engineering.
I was looking for a career where my contributions are valued and there are opportunities for growth and leadership, with challenge and a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I want to take pride in my work, and have something to show for it at the end of a project. I hope to build upon my strong background in project management, computer science, teaching, and technology.
I am currently looking for a position as a Systems Engineer while I complete a distance-learning Master of Engineering program for working professionals from Penn State University.
